Committee Descriptions:
Fundraising (most needed) - Begins in August with general information, Face-to-face starting in October
Assist with the process of collecting donations from businesses in the Sioux Center and Carmel area. Individuals will be given choice for certain businesses but will also be assigned others. Information on the Wreaths Across America program, description of fundraising information, and what's included for a sponsorship will be given to each committee member to use when visiting with each business. Individuals will need to be able to communicate with our director and also represent Sioux Center Wreaths Across America well.
Summer Celebration Events - Begins in March for planning and ends following the event
Assist with our first Hot Dog Eating Contest during the Sioux Center Summer Celebration weekend. Responsibilities include gathering sponsorships for hot dogs, buns, and water. Set up for the event on the Saturday of the Summer Celebration is also included with this committee. More information for this event will be published once approved with the Summer Celebration Committee. Individuals will need to be able to communicate with our director and also represent Sioux Center Wreaths Across America well.
Fairs & Markets - Random dates, all will be contacted with dates to choose from
This committee will be responsible for representing Sioux Center Wreaths Across America at various fairs and markets throughout the year. This committee will also host the Christmas Holiday Bazaar planned for 2017 on November 18th at the Terrace View Event Center. Individuals with strong organizational skills are encouraged to serve on this committee.
National Wreaths Across America Day - Begins in August and ends following the NWAAD Ceremony
This committee will serve as the organizers for the National Wreaths Across America Day Ceremony. Responsibilities will include setting up for the event - chairs, tables, decorations, refreshments. Committee will also meet to review and approve ceremony speakers and review individual responsibilities. Additional requests will be made by the Sioux Center Wreaths Across America Director over the course of the planning process. Individuals will need to be able to communicate with our director and also represent Sioux Center Wreaths Across America well. Individuals with strong organizational skills are encouraged to serve on this committee.
